Marvel Rivals’ Night of Illusions Event Kicks Off With a Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls Crossover

NetEase released Marvel Rivals version 20261029 on October 29, 2026, headlined by a new Night of Illusions event running from October 29 through December 31, 2026. The patch itself is light on balance changes, focusing instead on bug fixes and a wave of new store bundles, including a tie-in with the upcoming Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls crossover. You can check the current build and player counts on the official Marvel Rivals Steam store page.
Bug Fixes in Version 20261029
Rather than touching hero balance, this patch cleans up a handful of long-standing bugs: Gorr can no longer fly out of the map after using Shadow Harvest, Rogue’s X-Men ’97 costume no longer clips at the arm, Black Cat’s Fatal Weaver overhead icon and “Q” keybind issue are fixed, Invisible Woman’s stealth no longer breaks early when using Veiled Step, and Times Square now returns players correctly after a “One More Round.” The store UI and Blood Hunt Moon Knight’s Ankh item also received fixes.
New Store Bundles and the Marvel Tōkon Crossover
Starting October 30, 2026, new store bundles go live for Winter Soldier (“Celestial Soldier”), Storm, and Iron Man. The Iron Man bundle crosses over with Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, the upcoming 4v4 tag fighter from Arc System Works and PlayStation Studios, giving Rivals players a taste of that game’s art direction well ahead of its release. It’s a notable bit of cross-promotion between two very different Marvel games built by two very different studios.
If you want to gear up for the new bundles, you can grab a Steam Wallet Code (US) for Lattice and cosmetics, top up on console with a PlayStation Network gift card or an Xbox Series X|S gift card, and keep an eye out for more hero shooter coverage as the Night of Illusions event runs through the end of the year.
