Nomori Launches Today, Turning Gravity, Time, and Portals Into a Single Puzzle-Adventure

Nomori is out right now on PC and Xbox, and its whole pitch is right there in the marketing line: it wants players to forget which way is up. The puzzle-adventure stacks three manipulation mechanics — gravity, time, and portals — into a single toolkit and hands it to players one system at a time before letting them combine everything in increasingly disorienting chambers.

Three Systems, One Very Confusing Room

Where most physics puzzlers pick one gimmick and build an entire game around it, Nomori leans on the friction between its three systems. Flipping gravity mid-air changes which portal a player falls toward; rewinding time can undo a gravity flip but not a portal transition; and late-game rooms ask players to chain all three in a single sequence to reach an exit that was, seconds earlier, the ceiling. The developers have described the goal as keeping every room “readable” even as the rules stack, which is a tall order for a genre that lives or dies on whether players can mentally model the space they are standing in.

Nomori launched today, September 23, 2026, for PC and Xbox Series X|S/Xbox One, with no word yet on a PlayStation version.
