The First Descendant’s Patch 1.4.6 Rebalances Ultimate Gley and Freyna, Adds a Monster Hunter Crossover Weapon

Nexon Games pushed The First Descendant‘s Patch 1.4.6 live on October 22, followed by Hotfix 1.4.6b on October 23 to fix an Onslaught Stage 4 progression bug. Together, the updates round out a busy October for the free-to-play looter shooter.

What Changed in Patches 1.4.5 and 1.4.6

Update 1.4.5, which arrived October 15, added Onslaught Stage 5, a second Trials dungeon, a new Trigger Module, and the Monster Hunter Transcendent Weapon, a crossover reward tied to a limited-time drop-boost event. It also rebalanced Freyna, one of three Descendants the patch notes say received tuning that week. Patch 1.4.6 followed on October 22 with further rebalancing of Ultimate Gley and Freyna/Ultimate Freyna, along with improvements to the Cradle of Evolution and Trials modes and a long list of bug fixes across content, UI, and the Xbox version.

Hotfix 1.4.6b Lifts the Onslaught Stage 4 Lockout

Some players found themselves locked out of Onslaught Stage 4 missions after the patch changed mid-mission completion requirements. Hotfix 1.4.6b, which went out October 22 at 8 PM PDT, lifts that temporary entry restriction; players just need to reconnect after applying the patch for it to take effect. The fix rolled out across Steam, Xbox, and PS5 simultaneously.

Stock Up for the Next Onslaught

Patch 1.4.4 also added new shop bundles and skins alongside a World Co-op event, so there’s no shortage of ways to spend Caliber this week. A Steam Wallet Code (US) covers shop purchases if you’re playing on PC, and the wider PC and Action game categories at Dragon4Deals are worth a browse if Vulgus hunting has you in the mood for something new.
