The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival Launches Today With a Streets of Rage-Style Brawl

All-Out War Hits the Streets Today
The Walking Dead universe went full arcade today. The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival launched on Steam on September 18, 2026, and instead of another slow-burn survival game, publisher Skybound Games built this one as a fast, brutal side-scrolling brawler in the spirit of Streets of Rage and Final Fight — walkers and hostile raiders standing in for gang members, and scavenged pipes and machetes standing in for neon-lit fists.
A Brawler Built for the Undead
Set in the ruins of a town that looks a lot like Woodbury, Streets of Survival hands players a roster of survivors, each with a distinct melee style, a special move, and a growing arsenal of makeshift weapons that degrade the more you swing them. The game supports full drop-in co-op, so groups can punch through levels together instead of grinding solo. As Game Informer noted in its early preview, the pitch makes sense for the license: walkers in this universe have always been more of an environmental hazard than a headline threat, and turning them into brawler fodder plays directly into that idea. Players who pre-purchased the game on its official Steam store page also unlock bonus content tied to the pre-order campaign.
Where to Grab It
Streets of Survival is rolling out simultaneously on PC and consoles, giving both camps a same-day way in. If you’re grabbing it on Steam, a Steam Wallet code from Dragon4Deals covers the purchase (and anything else in your library) instantly. Console players picking it up on PlayStation or Xbox can do the same with a PlayStation Network gift card or an Xbox gift card, both delivered digitally in minutes.
