Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo have opened pre-purchases for Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember on Steam, alongside a free alpha demo that’s live now through September 30. The sequel to 2023’s Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is set for a full PC release on March 4, 2027.
What the Demo Shows Off
Early hands-on impressions describe combat that “flowed better” than the original, built around a traditional soulslike structure with multiple elemental combat styles layered on top. The Three Kingdoms setting returns, now populated with demonic entities drawn from Chinese folklore, and the world itself has shifted to an open-zone structure that supports side quests and exploration rather than the original’s more linear level design.
