Diablo IV Season 15, “Season of Hell’s Legacy,” has been live since September 15, 2026 on patch 3.2, and it shook up the meta hard with a new seasonal mechanic and two expansion classes now fully in the mix. Here’s the full class and build breakdown for where things stand right now.

This Season's Mechanic and the Lord of Hatred Expansion

This season’s core gimmick is Soul Splinters — socketable jewelry gems that hand out huge bonuses in exchange for a real drawback. The standout is the Splinter of Hellfire, which trades away crit chance for flat damage, and it single-handedly pushed damage-over-time builds to the top of nearly every class’s tier list this season. Season 15 also adds Mythic Charms, ten Legacy Uniques pulled from the first three Diablo games, and a reworked Mythic crafting system. This all sits on top of the Lord of Hatred expansion, which raised the level cap from 60 to 70, added the new Skovos region, and introduced two brand-new classes: the holy-magic Paladin and the demon-pact Warlock.

S-Tier: Warlock, Rogue, Barbarian

S-Tier

Warlock leads the pack. Blazing Scream is the single highest-damage build this season, built around a reworked Elegy unique that turns it into an Archfiend skill. Apocalypse is the go-to burst/boss build using a Hellhound Abaddon setup for one-button clears, and Rampage (perma-leap) is enabled by the Anathema of the Prime set alongside the Vanguard and Legion Soul Shards.

Rogue is right behind it. Penetrating Shot (Poison) is the main pushing build, built on Poison Imbuement and the Tricks of the Trade legendary node, and shares enough gear with Rain of Arrows to swap between the two freely. Dance of Knives is the fastest option for Helltides, Nightmare Dungeons, and leveling.

Barbarian rounds out S-Tier with Charge as the best pure pusher and Whirlwind as the best farmer. The Ring of Red Furor brought Hammer of the Ancients and Death Blow back into relevance by granting 100% crit chance on Core and Weapon Mastery skills, while a ranged Fire Rend (self-cast) build works too if you can keep resource generation above 50% with Ramaladni’s Magnum Opus equipped.

A-Tier: Spiritborn

A-Tier

Spiritborn is the lone A-Tier entry, carried by the Pestilent / Poison Swarm build for pushing and farming, Stinger for leveling and bosses, Quill Volley as a ranged option, and Storm Feather Evade for speed farming. The Swarm of Storms paragon board is the key enabler, though a Tzic Rune interaction granting an outsized damage multiplier has been flagged for a fix, so this could shift.

B-Tier: Sorcerer, Necromancer

B-Tier

Sorcerer leans on Firewall DoT (boosted by the Hellfire Splinter) alongside Ball Lightning or Frozen Orb as alternatives. Necromancer runs Shadow DoT for the highest ceiling (also pairing with the Hellfire Splinter), Blood Wave as the least frustrating playstyle, and a Minion build as the easiest class entry point.

C-Tier: Paladin, Druid

C-Tier

The two Lord of Hatred classes sit at the bottom this season. Paladin options — Wing Strike and Judgment (both capable of around Pit 120), plus a Zeal / Hammerdin build using the Oath system and a Judgment build boosted by the Trumpet Ring — are serviceable but outclassed, though Thorns remains a strong leveling pick since it scales with character level. Druid is similarly behind after heavy nerfs to the Storm Shepherd set, Storm Wolf, and Might of the Design; Rabies DoT (using Deadly Strike to convert crits into extra damage-over-time) and Werebear / Companion builds are the best of a weaker lot, though Grizzly Rage, Claw, and Tornado did get small buffs this patch.

Season 15 is still young, so expect balance adjustments as Blizzard tunes Soul Splinters further. Diablo IV is available now on Steam.
