Dune: Awakening’s Chapter 3 Rebuilds the Landsraad From Scratch and Adds the Raiders of the Broken Lands DLC

Funcom has shipped Chapter 3 for Dune: Awakening, its free survival-MMO update picking up directly where Chapter 2 left off, and it is being pitched as the biggest content drop the game has had since launch on Steam. The headline pitch: a reworked endgame that no longer forces players into PvP or dungeon raiding just to keep progressing, alongside a from-scratch rebuild of the Landsraad political system.
Five New Specializations and a Deeper Tier 6 Endgame
Chapter 3 extends Tier 6 progression across five specializations — Crafting, Gathering, Exploration, Combat, and Sabotage — giving non-combat-focused players a real endgame path for the first time. A new Augmentation Station lets players slot augments onto Unique Tier 6 weapons and armor, and the update adds several new overland areas, including challenge zones and Imperial Testing Stations with their own boss fights. Two new weapons, the Pyrocket and Dual Blades, join the arsenal, and the Rapier has been reworked.
The Landsraad, Rebuilt
Funcom says the Landsraad faction system has been \”remade from scratch\” in Chapter 3, with repeatable missions that raise both Faction Rank and Great House Standing, expanded reward tiers, and extended rank progression. On the quality-of-life side, base taxation has been removed entirely, and returning players get a resource package to help them catch back up to the current content.
Raiders of the Broken Lands: a Cosmetic DLC
Alongside the free update, Funcom launched Raiders of the Broken Lands, a $9.99 cosmetic DLC pack (also included in the $24.99 Season Pass) with dozens of new building pieces and decorations, a stillsuit, light and heavy armor sets, weapon skins, color swatches, and emotes — no gameplay advantages, just a new look for your Arrakis operation.
Dune: Awakening is available now on Steam, with a console release planned. If you are gearing up for the new endgame, Dragon4Deals has Steam Wallet codes to cover the DLC or Season Pass, and you can browse more PC game credit options for your next pickup.
