Guild Wars 2 Closes Out Visions of Eternity With Code of Creation
ArenaNet has released Code of Creation, the finale chapter of the Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity storyline, on September 15, 2026. It brings players deep into the hidden heart of Castora as they race to stop Vloxx from rewriting reality, all while confronting the escalating ambitions of Kuda’s Inquest. The update marks the conclusion of a saga that has spanned several episodic releases, and it goes out with one of the biggest content drops the storyline has seen: a brand-new zone, a raid encounter, a fractal, and a long-awaited legendary weapon.
Leyspring Hollows, the Nexus of Eternity Raid, and a New Fractal
The centerpiece of Code of Creation is Leyspring Hollows, a sprawling network of caverns charged with raw ley magic, tucked away beneath Castora’s surface. It is here that the finale’s story plays out, and it also hosts the update’s new raid encounter, Nexus of Eternity, accessible through the new squad instance “Convergence: Nexus of Eternity.” The fight comes with its own unique reward track for players chasing fresh raid loot.
Fractal fans get something new too: Solitary Throne joins the fractal rotation at levels 19, 44, 64, and 94, giving both newer and veteran groups a reason to queue up.
A New Legendary Sword and Quality-of-Life Changes
Weapon collectors have a new long-term goal in Wages of Stars, a craftable legendary sword joining the game’s legendary weapon roster. Working toward it ties into the update’s new Rift Amplification Mastery track, and six new relic items have been added alongside it for players refining their build options.
ArenaNet also made a welcome systems change: party and squad health bars are no longer forced on during raids and WvW, letting players fall back on their existing UI preferences instead. The Wizard’s Vault seasonal inventory has been refreshed as well, with legacy items repositioned, and the patch carries a long list of fixes touching achievement tracking, event scaling, cosmetic dye coloring, and server stability.
