Square Enix has confirmed that Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III] launches October 8, 2026, bringing the series’ three major compilations, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind, to Nintendo Switch 2 for the first time, alongside new releases on PlayStation and Xbox. It is the most complete way yet to catch up on Sora’s story before Kingdom Hearts IV arrives.

PC players have actually had a head start here: the Kingdom Hearts series made its Steam debut back in 2024, so the October 8 date is mainly about bringing the collection to Switch 2 owners and refreshing the PlayStation and Xbox listings under the new Collection [I~III] branding. If you have been meaning to replay the Dark Seeker Saga on a Steam Deck, nothing is stopping you right now.

A Refresher Course Before Kingdom Hearts IV

With Kingdom Hearts IV in development, this collection is clearly positioned as the on-ramp for newcomers and the refresher course for longtime fans who have not revisited Destiny Islands in a while. All three compilations carry over their previous HD remasters, cutscene upgrades, and bonus content, so you are getting the same acclaimed packages that originally rolled out across PS3, PS4, and Xbox One, just consolidated and, for the first time, portable on Switch 2.

Where to Get It

Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III] is already on Steam for PC players. Picking it up on console instead? A Nintendo eShop Card (US) covers the Switch 2 version, while a PSN Gift Card (US) or Xbox Live Gift Card (US) will get you sorted on PlayStation or Xbox.
