Mistfall Hunter’s Latest Balance Pass Reshapes Blackarrow and Withered Knight, Adds New Einherjar Rewards
Mistfall Hunter, the dark-fantasy extraction ARPG from Bellring Games, became one of Steam’s best-selling games almost overnight after its July 29, 2026 launch, overtaking chart leaders like Palworld and Halo: Campaign Evolved and crossing a million players within weeks. Developer Bellring Games hasn’t slowed down on support since, and its newest round of class balance changes reshuffles two of the game’s most-played kits while adding a fresh reward to chase in Einherjar mode.
What changed for Blackarrow and Withered Knight
Blackarrow, the bow-and-dagger skirmisher class, takes a modest nerf this patch: uncharged Steel Arrow shots lose their impact effect entirely, and damage from a fully charged shot has been trimmed. On the fix side, Bellring cleaned up an odd displacement bug that triggered after dodging into a jump, and removed a collision prompt that incorrectly appeared when aiming at enemies hidden in stealth.
Withered Knight, the class’s melee bruiser, gets the opposite treatment. Both Sprinting Slash and Withering Mark now cost noticeably less Energy, letting players chain them together more freely. The patch also fixes several skills that were launching characters into the air on contact with obstacles, stops the Inspect action from interrupting ability follow-up animations, and corrects a bug where the Thorn Guide skill dragged a nearby NPC merchant around the map.
Other classes picked up smaller tweaks too: Mercenary’s Sword and Shield stance no longer auto-blocks under certain conditions, and Sorcerer’s Stardust tree can once again use a charged Meteor Charm.
New Einherjar reward: the Dried Flower Knot
Alongside the balance pass, the update introduces the Dried Flower Knot, a new reward that can drop after defeating a Mist Lord in Einherjar mode — Mistfall Hunter’s toughest end-game encounters. It’s the latest in a steady stream of post-launch rewards Bellring has been rolling out to keep veteran hunters chasing better gear deep into the game’s first winter.
Bellring Games says classes left untouched in this patch are still under evaluation, with more balance passes planned. For a game that built its reputation on tense extraction runs and PvPvE combat, keeping the class roster in check is clearly a priority as the player base settles in.
