Mortal Kombat 1's November Update Adds Ghost Face to the Roster and Reworks Sub-Zero's Ice Klone

NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Games have rolled out the Mortal Kombat 1 “November Update,” and it’s a big one: a new playable fighter, a long list of kombatant balance changes, and a batch of PC-specific fixes.
Ghost Face Joins the Kombat Kast
The headline addition is Ghost Face, who joins the roster as a new fighter. He arrives alongside a wave of new cosmetics: MK ’95 movie skins for Ermac and Rain, MK2-style skins for Mileena, Kitana, and Tanya, and Holiday skins for Kameo fighters Frost and Sareena.
Sub-Zero's Ice Klone Gets a Major Overhaul
The biggest mechanical rework belongs to Sub-Zero. Ice Slide and Enhanced Ice Slide now knock opponents airborne when Front Kick isn’t held, and when it is held, both moves use a new synchronized hit animation that leaves the opponent positioned in front of him. Ice Klone itself got touched almost everywhere: Sub-Zero jumps slightly farther after throwing one, Fully Enhanced Klone now causes freeze reactions, its hitboxes were adjusted, and its duration was extended across the board (regular Klone lasts 30 frames longer, Enhanced 100 frames longer, and Fully Enhanced’s first two clones last 100 frames longer with the third lasting 160 frames longer). The tradeoff: Enhanced and Fully Enhanced Klone’s cooldown is now 60 frames longer, and Klone can only re-freeze an already-frozen opponent a limited number of times (once on base Klone, three times when Enhanced or Fully Enhanced).
Smoke, Geras, Sareena, and a Long List of Kombatant Tweaks
Elsewhere in the patch, Smoke picks up a new Vicious Vapors air-attack chain, Geras gets a reworked Enhanced History Lesson that now hits ducking opponents for more damage, and Kameo fighter Sareena gains an entirely new move, Jataaka’s Blessing, which creates a zone that boosts her partner’s super meter and damage. Homelander’s Blaze It Up was changed from a low to a mid attack, and a long tail of hero-specific visual and hitbox bugs were fixed across Havik, Kitana, Raiden, Sindel, Noob Saibot, Cyrax, Sektor, and more.
PC Gets Stability Fixes and a New Anti-Aliasing Option
On PC, the update adds AMD FSR3 NAA as a new anti-aliasing option, a toggle to disable RGB peripheral effects, and fixes for voice chat dropping out in online matches and errors in the in-game store. Switch players get a fix for a visual bug on Noob Saibot’s skins.
If this patch has you jumping back into Invasions or the online ladder, topping up with a Steam Wallet Code (US) covers Kameo packs and Kombat Pack content on PC, while Dragon4Deals also carries Xbox and PlayStation Network gift cards for picking it up on console. Mortal Kombat 1 is available now on Steam.
