Qliphah in Providence’s Shadow, Arc System Works’ supernatural action-RPG, launches worldwide tomorrow, September 24, 2026, on PC, PS5, and Nintendo Switch. The game casts players as a delivery worker in a mutated version of Tokyo who gets pulled into the orbit of a mutation response division after a routine job goes sideways.
A Delivery Worker Caught in a Mutation Crisis
Hands-on previews out of this year’s Anime Expo praised the combat system specifically, describing an engaging mix of melee strings and supernatural abilities tied to the game’s “Qliphah” mutation theme. It is a departure from Arc System Works’ usual fighting-game wheelhouse (Guilty Gear, Granblue Fantasy Versus) into a single-player, story-driven action-RPG, with the city’s mutation crisis acting as both the narrative hook and the source of the enemy roster.
The game was first announced back in June 2026 and has been building buzz through Tokyo Game Show demo stations ahead of its worldwide release.
