STAR WARS: Galactic Racer launched today, October 6, 2026, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, dropping players into the lawless Outer Rim for an arcade racing campaign built around the Galactic League circuit. Developed by Secret Mode and Fuse Games, the $59.99 racer leans hard into the podracing fantasy Star Wars fans have wanted a proper follow-up to since the Episode I: Racer days.

The singleplayer campaign follows a new character, Shade, as players forge alliances and settle rivalries across a string of Outer Rim locations, including stops inspired by Jakku-style dune worlds. Four distinct vehicle classes are available at launch: three styles of repulsorcraft, speeder bikes, landspeeders, skim speeders, and the headline attraction, full-blown podracers, each with its own handling profile and build customization options for engine tuning, stabilizers, and cosmetic liveries.

Outside the campaign, Galactic Racer ships with competitive online multiplayer races from day one. Anyone who pre-ordered gets a free exclusive livery and player banner background to flex in those lobbies. The game includes Denuvo Anti-Tamper protection, and a controller is recommended over keyboard and mouse for the tighter vehicle classes.

Where to Play and How to Pay For It

You can find STAR WARS: Galactic Racer on Steam now. If you are grabbing it on PC, a Steam Wallet Code (US) covers the purchase instantly with no card details needed. Racing on console instead? A PSN Gift Card (US) or an Xbox Live Gift Card (US) will get you set up on PS5 or Xbox Series X|S respectively.
