Tekken 8 Dates Roger Jr. for November 17, Teases a Baki the Grappler Crossover Fighter

Bandai Namco has locked in a release date for Tekken 8‘s next Season 3 fighter, Roger Jr., and used the reveal trailer’s closing seconds to show off something nobody expected: a Baki the Grappler crossover character.
Roger Jr., the Pocket Commander
Roger Jr. is the son of Tekken’s returning kangaroo fighter Roger, and he mirrors his mother’s attacks while fighting out of her pouch. Bandai Namco Europe has nicknamed him “the Pocket Commander.” His moveset blends boxing and pro wrestling, and he uses his tail to prop himself up for unconventional strikes, finishing opponents with an uppercut Rage Art that launches them across the stage.
Release Dates: November 12 for Pass Owners, November 17 for Everyone
Season 3 Pass owners get early access to Roger Jr. on Thursday, November 12, five days before his general release on Tuesday, November 17. Both dates were confirmed after the character’s gameplay trailer debuted at EVO France on October 11.
A Baki the Grappler Surprise
The same trailer closed with the first 3D look at Yujiro Hanma, a crossover fighter pulled from the Baki the Grappler franchise. His red hair, heavy build, and signature full-split pose all carried over to the in-game model. Yujiro is the last confirmed DLC addition for Season 3, and Bandai Namco hasn’t shown any of his gameplay yet; a dedicated trailer is expected at the Tekken World Tour Finals 2026 on January 17, 2027.
Picking Up Tekken 8 Before Season 3 Wraps
With two more characters confirmed before Season 3 closes out, now is a reasonable time for newcomers to jump in before the roster grows further. Tekken 8 is available as a PC key through Dragon4Deals, and players stocking up for the Season 3 Pass or in-game customization items can grab a Steam Wallet Code or browse Xbox gift cards for the console version. Full character details are on Tekken 8’s Steam page.
