Enshrouded key art showing the game's voxel survival world
After nearly three years in Steam Early Access, Keen Games’ voxel survival-crafting RPG Enshrouded has officially reached version 1.0. The update went live today, October 15, 2026, launching simultaneously on PC via Steam and on PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro. An Xbox Series X|S version is still in development, with Keen Games targeting a spring 2027 release for that platform.

From Early Access to Full Release

Enshrouded entered Steam’s Early Access program in January 2024, and the three years since have brought eight major content updates. Those drops added three distinct biomes, each with its own monsters and loot tables, plus new weapons, armor sets, base-building materials, and decorations. One of the more ambitious additions along the way was a dynamic water system, which the developers describe as one of the harder technical problems to solve in a voxel-based engine.

What's New in 1.0

Keen Games hasn’t published a full 1.0 changelog yet, but the studio has been clear that the version bump comes with additional content rather than just a new label on the existing Early Access build. For now, the headline news is platform parity: PC and PS5 players get the full release today, while Xbox Series X|S owners will have to wait until spring 2027 for their turn.

Where to Pick It Up

Enshrouded sits in the same crowded survival-crafting space as games like Valheim and Palworld, but its voxel terrain and that dynamic water tech give it a distinct identity. PC players topping up their library can grab it on Steam with a Steam Wallet Code, and PS5 owners buying it digitally can do the same with a card from our PlayStation Network gift card selection.
