Enshrouded Leaves Early Access October 15, Bringing Keen Games’ Voxel Survival Epic to Full Release
After nearly three years in Early Access, Enshrouded is finally going gold. Developer and publisher Keen Games confirmed the voxel-based survival and building game will exit Early Access with a full 1.0 release on October 15, 2026, launching on PC, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 5 Pro.
From Early Access Hit to Full Release
Enshrouded first launched into Early Access on Steam in January 2024 and quickly became one of that year’s breakout survival hits, built around deep terraforming, large-scale base construction, and a toxic “Shroud” that mutates the world around it. Across eight major content updates during Early Access, Keen Games added three distinct biomes and their monsters, new weapons, armor, creatures, base materials, decorations, and a dynamic water system.
Launch Details
The 1.0 release is confirmed for October 15, 2026 on Windows PC and PlayStation 5 / PS5 Pro; an Xbox Series X|S version is still in development and isn’t expected until spring 2027. Keen Games says 1.0 brings new content on top of the Early Access additions, though full details were still being saved for closer to launch. Studio CEO Jan Jöckel has said the team has “a lot of ideas” for where Enshrouded goes next, but wanted to focus on polish and fixing the game’s rough edges before piling on more systems.
