Falcom’s continuation of the beloved Liberl arc, Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, launches September 16, 2026, dropping players back into Estelle Bright’s search for her missing partner Joshua as the mysterious Ouroboros organization tightens its grip on the Kingdom of Liberl.
Picking Up Right Where Chapter One Left Off
Armed with Joshua’s harmonica and an unshakable determination, Estelle embarks on a continent-spanning quest to find him, confronting an intricately woven conspiracy that threatens Liberl. Players who carry over save data from Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter unlock bonus items that give progression a head start, making this a genuine continuation rather than a soft reboot.
Brave Rush and New Crafts Shake Up Combat
Combat gets meaningfully deeper this time around. New Crafts and S-Crafts expand each character’s toolkit, while a new Brave Rush system links party members’ attacks together during quick battles for bigger tempo swings. The orbment system returns to govern Arts access, and outside of combat there is plenty to do — fishing, poker minigames, companion cooking activities, and additional playable party members round out the package.
