We Were Here Tomorrow is live today on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with full crossplay across all three platforms from day one — so it doesn’t matter which box your co-op partner owns. It’s priced at $19.99 / €19.99, with a 10% launch discount for anyone who grabs it this week. The game comes from Total Mayhem Games, a 40-plus person indie studio based in Rotterdam, under Creative Director Martín Mittner.

Two Players, One Walkie-Talkie

The premise is classic We Were Here: two players wake up trapped inside the “Norcěek Industries” facility, separated and seeing completely different parts of the world, with only a walkie-talkie to coordinate. This entry’s puzzles revolve around time, gravity, and space, set inside a retro-futuristic “imagined 1980s” world scored by a synthwave soundtrack. The story was written by Claire North, and the voice cast includes Sophie Okonedo and Connor “Cdawg” Colquhoun.

A Series With 25 Million Players Behind It

We Were Here launched in 2017, and Tomorrow is the fifth mainline entry, with the series having sold to more than 25 million players and picked up multiple awards along the way. This release also marks the first time the series has shipped with Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, and LATAM Spanish voiceover, a notable expansion of its reach after five games.

Since this one is fully cross-platform, it’s an easy pick for duos split across different consoles — one of you can grab Steam Wallet codes, while the other tops up with PlayStation 5 gift cards or Xbox Series X|S gift cards and you’ll still end up in the same walkie-talkie call.
