Respawn’s Apex Legends moves into Season 30.1, nicknamed "Marked Split 2," on September 14, 2026. It is a mid-season patch rather than a full new season, but the notes read like one of the bigger balance passes Apex has had in months — three Legends reworked, several long-ignored guns buffed, and loot inflation dialed back after community complaints about late-game scarcity.
Legend Changes: Conduit, Fuse, and Catalyst
Conduit gets an Ultimate refresh with faster deployment and new HUD read-outs, plus two reworked Level 2 upgrades: Concurrency lets her drop two barricades instead of one, while Jammed Up adds an information-denial effect to disrupt enemy scans. Fuse has the old Knuckle Jumper upgrade folded permanently into his base kit, a reworked Motherlode Ultimate with a faster raise time and adjusted firing arc, and two new Level 3 options, Big Bang and Sticky Bomb. Catalyst picks up automatic door reinforcement whenever she places a trap, a cooldown reduction, and a new Level 3 upgrade called Ferro-Frenzy that significantly reshapes her upgrade tree.
The Weapon Meta Just Got Shaken Up
The patch buffs three weapons that had fallen out of the rotation entirely — the Triple Take, Bocek Bow, and Charge Rifle — in what Respawn itself is calling one of the biggest weapon-meta shake-ups Apex has seen in well over a year. On the loot side, the ongoing Revamped Power Journey changes continue to walk back loot inflation from earlier seasons, with healing items and late-game loot availability flagged as the next things the team wants to tune. You can read the full breakdown in Respawn’s official Season 30.1 designer’s notes.
Getting Ready for the Update
Apex Legends stays free-to-play on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox, so most of what you’ll actually spend money on is Battle Pass progress and cosmetics tied to the new Legend upgrades. If you’re topping up on PC, a Steam Wallet Code (US) covers the in-game store directly. Console players can do the same with a PSN Gift Card (US) or an Xbox Live Gift Card (US), both of which we stock in several other regions if you’re not buying from the US store.
