Apex Legends Marked Midseason Patch Reworks Axle, Buffs the Triple Take, and Refreshes the Loot Pool

Apex Legends’ Marked Midseason update went live on September 15, kicking off Split 2 of Season 30 with a legend balance pass, several weapon buffs, and a loot economy overhaul. Respawn published the full notes on EA’s official site, and the patch is live now on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox.

Axle Finally Gets Reined In

Axle heads into Split 2 with real nerfs: her tactical launch speed is reduced, Ultimate HP drops from 200 to 150, its cooldown climbs from 90 to 120 seconds, the knockback arc widens, and stun duration falls from 1.5 seconds to just 0.25. Respawn was blunt about why, noting her Kickstart drone is “still too oppressive in too many contexts” even after earlier tuning. Seer also loses the turn-slow penalty on his tactical.

Four Legends Get Real Buffs

Conduit picks up clearer shield prediction visuals, a faster Ultimate deployment with a toggle orientation option, and two new Level 2 upgrades. Fuse’s Knuckle Cluster jump is now baseline kit with 25% explosive damage resistance built in. Catalyst’s tactical cooldown drops to 15 seconds with automatic door reinforcement, and Bloodhound’s tactical scan now lasts a full second longer with improved snapshot frequency.

Weapon and Loot Changes

The Triple Take gets a faster ADS fire rate and a magazine bump from 8 to 9 rounds, the Bocek Compound Bow’s arrow stockpile jumps from 40 to 60, and the Charge Rifle’s max damage rises to 110 with its selectfire penalty cut from 40% to 25%. On the loot side, healing items, ammo, and survival gear are all more common in bins, and Weapon Assist now covers every weapon type instead of just pistols and shotguns.

Map Rotation and What's Next

World’s Edge, Olympus, and Broken Moon are in rotation for both Pubs and Ranked this split, alongside more than 150 map-related quality-of-life fixes across the Outlands. Six ranked ladders are scheduled through the rest of the split. If you want to jump back in for Split 2, a Steam Wallet Code covers Apex Coins for the new battle pass content, and we’ve ranked every legend for the new meta in our Apex Legends tier list.
