Apex Legends Reveals Doppelgangers Halloween Event, Launching October 17 With a Free Revenant Prestige Skin
Respawn has revealed the next Apex Legends collection event, and it’s another Halloween outing: Doppelgangers runs October 17 through October 31, 2026, bringing a spooky battle royale variant, map makeovers, and a headline Revenant skin that players can earn without spending a dime.
Tricks N' Treats Trios and After Dark Maps
The event’s limited-time mode, Tricks N’ Treats Trios, adds two new mechanics on top of standard trios battle royale: Candy, a consumable that grants EVO points, Ultimate charge, or up to 25 shield points, and Copycat Kits, rare pickups that let you temporarily borrow an ability from a different Legend. Olympus, King’s Canyon, and World’s Edge all get After Dark visual overhauls with Halloween lighting and decorations for the event’s duration.
24 Skins and a Free Revenant Prestige Skin
Doppelgangers features 24 unique Legend and weapon skins, available either through direct purchase with Apex Coins and Crafting Materials or through randomized Event Packs. The real target is Revenant’s “Apex Horror” Prestige skin, a legendary skin with three unlockable tiers earned through kills and challenge completion — and players who collect all 24 event skins before the event ends get it for free. The Reward Tracker also awards up to 1,400 points a day, feeding into both the event track and the regular Season Pass at the same time.
Funding Your Apex Coins Before October 17
Apex Legends is free-to-play on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox, but Apex Coins for skins and the Prestige track still need to be purchased. PC players can load up with a Steam Wallet Code (US), while console players can grab a card from Dragon4Deals’ PlayStation Network or Xbox gift card selection ahead of the event’s October 17 start.
