ARC Raiders' Frozen Trail Update Goes Live With a New Frozen Map and the Biggest Content Drop Since Launch
Embark Studios has rolled out Frozen Trail, the biggest content update ARC Raiders has received since it left early access. Live since October 8, the drop adds a snowbound map, tougher ARC enemies, a major new high-level Operation, and the first piece of a long-term progression system called the Outpost.

A Frozen Settlement and Tougher ARC Threats
Frozen Trail’s centerpiece is a new map: a frozen settlement wedged between towering mountains at the edge of the Rust Belt, built with more verticality and more room for exploration than previous maps. Embark has also added new ARC enemies that range from minor nuisances to, in the studio’s own words, “an enormous machine that will halt you in your tracks.”
Alongside the map, the update introduces a major new ARC Operation — a high-level challenge Embark describes as delivering “meaningful decisions, dynamic encounters, and moments that demand cooperation and careful judgement.” It’s aimed squarely at coordinated squads rather than solo raiders.
The Outpost, a New Update Cadence, and Where to Buy
Frozen Trail also introduces the Outpost, a new base space Embark calls the first step toward “retaking the surface,” alongside improvements to the Skill Tree and Raider Deck. The studio dropped its monthly update model back in May 2026 in favor of two major content drops per year, and Frozen Trail is the first of those — officially billed as the biggest update since launch.
ARC Raiders is available now on Steam for PC. If you’re stocking up for extraction runs or eyeing the next cosmetic set, a Steam Wallet Code (US) covers it, and our PC games and Steam categories have more ways to top up or pick up your next game.
