Dota 2’s current patch, 7.41f, has been live since September 15, 2026, and with The International 2026 approaching, the meta has settled into clear patterns. This tier list combines role breakdowns from pro and high-MMR analysis with Divine and Immortal ranked win-rate data pulled as of October 27, 2026, so every hero below is backed by both competitive reasoning and real numbers, not just opinion.

Best Carries (Position 1)

S+ Tier: Phantom Lancer, Spectre, Lifestealer, Drow Ranger, Leshrac, Necrophos, Wraith King.
S Tier: Juggernaut, Phantom Assassin, Vengeful Spirit, Sniper, Clinkz.
A Tier: Anti-Mage, Sven, Riki, Faceless Void, Luna, Lone Druid, Troll Warlord, Legion Commander, Muerta, Lina.

The carry meta rewards late-game cores with sustained damage and strong scaling. Phantom Lancer sits at the very top for a reason: his Juxtapose innate lets his illusions deal extra damage, and the ranked data backs it up, with Phantom Lancer posting a 57.7% win rate at a healthy 14.2% pick rate in patch 7.41f, the single best win rate of any hero in the game right now.

Best Mid Lane Heroes

S+ Tier: Snapfire, Invoker, Riki, Lina, Zeus.
S Tier: Marci, Necrophos, Sniper, Pudge, Outworld Devourer, Viper, Puck.
A Tier: Keeper of the Light, Arc Warden, Meepo, Lone Druid, Primal Beast, Shadow Fiend, Razor, Rubick, Void Spirit, Windranger, Queen of Pain, Death Prophet, Visage, Vengeful Spirit, Night Stalker.

Snapfire’s Scatterblast and Lil’ Shredder combo can delete a hero from the early game onward, while Invoker remains the most-picked S-tier hero in the entire game at a 27.0% pick rate, with a consistent win rate that makes him a safe, flexible mid pick for players willing to learn his spell combinations. His Ghost Walk ability is particularly strong for solo ganking and clearing creep waves without being seen.

Best Offlane Heroes

S+ Tier: Axe, Legion Commander, Wraith King, Pudge, Necrophos, Dawnbreaker.
S Tier: Night Stalker, Visage, Snapfire, Centaur Warrunner, Undying.
A Tier: Riki, Tidehunter, Spectre, Underlord.

Axe’s early-to-mid game scaling helps his whole team farm safely, and Legion Commander, Pudge, and Wraith King are all valued as reliable initiators who can single-handedly swing a fight with one well-timed spell.

Best Support Heroes (Positions 4 and 5)

S+ Tier: Shadow Shaman, Witch Doctor, Snapfire, Lich.
S Tier: Undying, Pudge, Vengeful Spirit, Techies, Skywrath Mage, Bane.
A Tier: Zeus, Bounty Hunter, Nyx Assassin, Rubick, Mirana, Lion, Ringmaster, Silencer, Ogre Magi, Dazzle, Disruptor, Largo, Venomancer, Keeper of the Light, Spirit Breaker, Warlock, Hoodwink.

Disablers currently dominate the support meta. Shadow Shaman’s Mass Serpent Ward alone can siege down a tower by itself, which combined with Witch Doctor’s and Lich’s lockdown potential makes this trio nearly impossible to play around in the laning phase.

Honorable Mentions from the 7.41f Win-Rate Data

Beyond the role-by-role breakdown, a few heroes stand out purely on ranked numbers from patch 7.41f: Primal Beast (56.1% win rate), Lone Druid (56.0%), Leshrac (55.5%), Grimstroke (55.3%), Spectre (54.8%), Mirana (53.3% at a heavily-picked 15.9%), Outworld Devourer (53.3%), Nyx Assassin (53.2%), Juggernaut (52.3% at 20.1% pick rate), and Dragon Knight (52.1% at 23.1% pick rate). If a hero above is banned, any of these make a strong fallback pick.
