FFXIV Job Tier List (Patch 7.55): Best Tanks, Healers, and DPS for Savage Raiding
Patch 7.55’s raiding scene has settled into a fairly clear picture, backed by real numbers rather than guesswork. This tier list is built from Savage AAC Heavyweight parse data at the 95th percentile, so instead of vague letter grades, each role is broken down by what the data actually shows about rDPS, aDPS, and nDPS output across Final Fantasy XIV‘s current job roster.
Tanks — Gunbreaker Leads the Damage Race

Among tanks, Gunbreaker leads the damage table, sitting ahead of Warrior, Paladin, and Dark Knight in raw output. Warrior isn’t far behind after receiving burst damage buffs in Patch 7.5, and it remains a simpler execution than Gunbreaker, which demands tight cartridge management to hit its ceiling. All four tanks are viable in Savage content, but if you’re optimizing purely for parses, Gunbreaker currently comes out on top.
Healers — Two Different Lanes

Healers split naturally into two functional lanes rather than one single ranking. In the Barrier lane, Scholar has the deepest toolkit of any healer, while Sage received offensive potency increases in Patch 7.5 that pushed it further up the damage charts. In the Pure lane, White Mage still puts out the strongest raw healing numbers in the game, while Astrologian’s Divination gives it a party-wide damage buff that the other pure healer lacks. Which lane you pick matters more than which specific job within it, since barrier and pure healers cover different fight-design needs.
Melee DPS — Viper and Reaper on Top

Viper currently tops the melee DPS damage snapshots, with Reaper consistently near the top across several parses as well. Both Samurai and Reaper received potency increases in Patch 7.5. Monk remains valuable for its Brotherhood party buff even outside pure damage rankings, and Ninja’s raid contribution now leans on Mug and Dokumori rather than the old Trick Attack windows, which changes how it lines up with a party’s burst phases.
Physical and Magical Ranged DPS
On the physical ranged side, Bard and Dancer both convert part of their personal damage budget into party-wide buffs, which is reflected in their rDPS numbers, while Machinist plays the selfish role in this sub-category with no raid buff of its own but strong personal output. Among magical ranged casters, Black Mage focuses almost entirely on personal damage, best measured by aDPS or nDPS rather than rDPS. Pictomancer offers a party buff, Red Mage brings the utility of Verraise, and Summoner picked up a potency increase in Patch 7.5 that keeps it competitive with the rest of the caster lineup.
Building Your Raid Comp
None of this means off-meta jobs can’t clear content — Savage fights in 7.55 are cleared every week by parties running whatever their raid group enjoys most. But if you’re building a static around parse optimization, Gunbreaker, a Barrier or Pure healer depending on the fight’s damage pattern, and Viper or Reaper on melee DPS is currently the strongest data-backed combination. Whichever job you main, a Steam Wallet Code or a look through Dragon4Deals’ Steam and PC gift card selection covers your subscription top-ups and Mog Station purchases alike.
