Helldivers 2’s October Update 7.2 Brings a New Warbond and Biome to the Terminid Front
Arrowhead Game Studios’ roadmap puts the next major content drop for Helldivers 2 squarely in October 2026. Update 7.2 follows August’s Major Update 7.0 and focuses entirely on the Terminid front, with a new Warbond, biome, enemy, and reward all tied to the update.
What's Coming in Update 7.2
Per Arrowhead’s August 31 roadmap, Update 7.2 is October’s main content drop: a new Warbond, new missions, a new biome, a new enemy type, a new reward, and a Galactic War event, all themed around the Terminid front. An exact release date within the month hasn’t been announced yet. The M-103 Supply FRV, previously revealed but not yet widely available, becomes permanently unlockable in October as well.
Liberty Day Approaches
Liberty Day falls on October 26 in the Helldivers universe, so an in-game event tied to the holiday is likely to land around that date, following the pattern of past seasonal celebrations. Beyond October, the roadmap lists no major update for November, with attention shifting to Major Update 8.0 in December, which targets the Automaton front. Arrowhead hasn’t detailed 8.0’s contents yet, but confirmed separately that the Killzone Legendary Warbond returns permanently on December 18.
