Monster Hunter Wilds Confirmed for Nintendo Switch 2, Pre-Orders Open October 19

Capcom has confirmed Monster Hunter Wilds is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on December 4, 2026, bringing every Title Update already released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC along for the ride. Pre-orders open October 19, 2026.
What the Switch 2 Version Includes
The Switch 2 port supports both wireless local play between consoles and online cross-play with the other platforms. Capcom has also tuned a few features specifically around the system’s portability: Seikrets, the game’s mount creatures, can now guide hunters to destinations, sharpen weapons, or gather materials while being ridden, and hunters can switch to a secondary weapon out in the field without returning to camp. A Prologue demo is planned ahead of launch, though Capcom hasn’t locked in its contents yet.
Pricing and Pre-Orders
The Standard Edition runs $39.99, dropping to $29.99 for early digital pre-orders placed before December 3. A Gold Edition at $79.99 adds cosmetic DLC, and a physical Deluxe Edition at $39.99 bundles the base game with Deluxe Pack cosmetics on a cartridge. Pre-orders go live October 19.
Ascendance Looms, But Not Yet on Switch 2
Capcom has also teased Ascendance, a paid expansion planned for 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A Switch 2 version hasn’t been confirmed, nor has a release date or price, so Switch 2 hunters may be waiting a while longer for that content.
