Hello Games has released “Forsaken,” another big free update for No Man’s Sky, out now on every platform alongside a new iOS version of the decade-old space exploration game. It’s the latest in a string of free content drops that have kept the 2016 launch disaster turned redemption story growing for nearly ten years.

Seamless Warping Changes How You Travel

The standout quality-of-life change is seamless warping: while flying in space, you can now direct your ship straight to a nearby star without backing out to the galaxy map first, cutting out one of the more tedious menu detours in the game’s travel loop.

New Ships, a Grub Multi-Tool, and Forsaken Traders

On top of that, Forsaken adds a wave of new content: new ships, Bio Specimens, a Grub Multi-Tool, Forsaken Traders to buy and sell from, a Larva Helmet, new ship cockpits, and new Corvette interiors for players flying the larger capital-style ships.

Quality-of-Life: Minimal HUD, Radial Menu, and Haulage Missions

There’s also a round of quality-of-life additions: a Minimal HUD Mode for players who want a cleaner screen, a Radial Menu for faster item and action selection, new Haulage Missions for steady income, Space Holo-Arenas, and the ability to upload your space bases for other players to visit.

More Updates Still to Come

Hello Games has hinted this isn’t the last update coming, continuing the studio’s now-familiar pattern of treating No Man’s Sky as a game that never stops growing rather than one that ships and moves on.

If Forsaken has you planning a fresh expedition, a Steam Wallet Code (US) from Dragon4Deals covers the PC version and any add-ons, and we also stock Xbox and Nintendo Switch gift cards for picking it up on console. No Man’s Sky is on Steam now.
