PUBG: Battlegrounds’ latest content cycle pairs a Jujutsu Kaisen crossover with a meaningful combat rebalance, headlined by across-the-board LMG nerfs and new melee options. The Jujutsu Kaisen-themed content runs through October 14 on PC and October 22 on console, alongside a returning Solo Deathmatch arcade mode and a Duo Rumble competitive event. You can jump in on Steam, and a PC gift card covers the Jujutsu Kaisen cosmetics if they catch your eye in the item shop.

The Jujutsu Kaisen Crossover

The PUBG x Jujutsu Kaisen collaboration brings themed battlegrounds content and cosmetics into the item shop for a limited time. It is running concurrently with two event modes: Solo Deathmatch, PUBG’s arcade-style respawn mode, and Duo Rumble, a competitive event live on PC across Asia, EU, and NA regions through October 14.

LMGs Get Nerfed Across the Board

Light machine guns took the biggest hit in this patch. ADS transition time on LMGs increased from 0.30 to 0.37 seconds, vehicle damage multipliers were reduced for the M249, RPD, and MG3, and recoil control effects dropped by 10 to 27 percent depending on firing stance. World spawn rates for LMGs were also cut by 30 percent, making them noticeably rarer to find mid-match. If your loadout leaned on an M249 to shred vehicles and control fights at range, expect to feel this one.

New Ways to Fight: Kicks, Water Combat, and Faster Swimming

In exchange, update 43.1 opens up new ways to fight. A kick melee action now works both standing and while jumping, water surface combat has been enabled for sidearms and throwables, and swimming and diving speed are both up 25 percent. A new item-carrying system lets players transport loot directly without burning inventory space, and ground items can now be used instantly without first picking them up.

Quality-of-Life Changes and Ranked Season 43

Beyond combat, PUBG added a new leaderboard system tracking Wins, Kills, and Clan performance, PC support for DLSS and FSR upscaling, expanded console hit detection for more forgiving registration, and preset outfit slots doubled from 5 to 10. Ranked Season 43 has also begun with updated RP requirements, and parachute deployment heights were rebalanced alongside the other changes.

Stocking up for the new season or the Jujutsu Kaisen shop refresh is easiest with a Steam Wallet Code, and if you are hunting other battle royale deals, our action game selection is worth a look too.
