Nexon rolled out patch 1.4.6 for The First Descendant on October 22, 2026, across Steam, Xbox, and PS5. The update adds no new Descendants, weapons, or modes, focusing instead on rebalancing two of the game’s most-played Descendants and tightening up the Cradle of Evolution endgame loop. You can check the current build on the official The First Descendant Steam store page.

Freyna and Ultimate Gley Get Major Buffs

Freyna and Ultimate Freyna come out of this patch noticeably stronger: their Continuous Damage values were roughly doubled across several skills, with Contagion Links jumping from 256.3% to 512.6%, and multiple Transcendent Modules were reworked to push that damage further. Ultimate Gley also gets a tune-up through her Transcendent Modules “Demonic Modification” and “Explosive Life”: fire rate climbs from 120 to 157 rounds per minute, and the Life Sphere cap rises from 10 to 20, letting her sustain her damage-for-life-cost playstyle for much longer fights.

Cradle of Evolution Tweaks and Fixes

Outside the balance changes, the Cradle of Evolution gets spawn and monster adjustments plus a portal leading to the next Combat Zone, Commander Phase-Tuned Crystal rewards were increased, and Trials now scales its difficulty when your squad size changes. The “Prepping in the Dark” cooldown was also cut from 18 seconds down to zero. On the fix side, 1.4.6 cleans up bugs in Onslaught Stage 5, Trials, and Karel’s Mothership, fixes Freyna and Gley skill issues, corrects the Transcendent Weapon “Monster Hunter” icon, and resolves Xbox freezes and Grappling Hook problems.
