Apex Legends’ Season 27 has settled into a clear mobility-first meta, built around jetpack and verticality changes plus updates to the Olympus map that reward fast, dive-heavy play — and that shift has reshuffled the legend tier list considerably.

S-Tier: Valkyrie, Horizon, Rampart, and Revenant

Valkyrie’s jetpack changes this season pushed her back to the top of the tier list — her VTOL rotor-kick and squad jump let her dictate fights from the air in a way few other legends can match right now.

Horizon’s gravity-lift kit continues to reward the same aggressive, vertical playstyle Season 27 is built around, holding her in S-tier alongside Valkyrie. Rampart and Revenant round out the top tier: Rampart’s turret and wall setups punish teams that overextend into her sightlines, while Revenant’s wall-climb and silence kit suits the dive-heavy Olympus changes.

A-Tier Through E-Tier: Where Everyone Else Lands

A-tier holds Alter, Lifeline, Newcastle, Sparrow, Ash, and Seer — Lifeline in particular benefits from gold knockdown shield changes and stronger support perks this season. B-tier (Bangalore, Loba, Mad Maggie, Caustic, Ballistic, Mirage) and C-tier (Pathfinder, Fuse, Wraith, Vantage, Gibraltar) cover legends that are still viable but outpaced by the meta’s pace — Fuse’s cluster grenade tweaks at least give him a boost in area denial. D-tier (Catalyst, Wattson, Crypto, Conduit) and E-tier (Octane, Bloodhound) round out the list; Catalyst lost ground to nerfs on her spikes and wall duration, and Conduit has taken repeated nerfs to her tactical shield regen that have left her near the bottom.

Why Mobility Is Running the Show

Season 27’s jetpack and Olympus changes reward fast, dive-style play and team synergy, which is why slower or setup-dependent legends have slid down the board even without direct nerfs — they simply can’t keep pace with squads rotating and repositioning as fast as the new mobility tools allow.

Weapons to Pair With the Meta

Weapon choice matters as much as legend pick in Season 27’s faster-paced matches. The R-99 and R-301 remain safe, forgiving picks for close-to-mid engagements, while the Kraber and Sentinel reward the kind of high-ground, vertical plays that Valkyrie, Horizon, and Revenant are built to set up. Fast reloads and mobility-friendly loadouts generally beat raw damage right now, since fights resolve quickly once a squad with superior positioning gets the drop on a slower team.

Should You Switch Legends Mid-Season?

If you already have hours on a C-tier or lower legend, Season 27’s tier list is a reason to adjust your aim, not necessarily drop them outright — comfort and map knowledge still count for a lot in solo queue. But if you’re building a new main from scratch, Valkyrie and Horizon are the safest long-term investments: both have stayed near the top across multiple recent seasons rather than spiking for one patch, which makes them a better bet than a legend riding a single balance pass.
