Black Ops 7’s Season 6 update is now live, and Treyarch has confirmed it as the game’s last major post-launch patch. The update bundles a new Zombies World Event, a fresh set of Prestige Title challenges, and a notable weapon balance pass.

The Forbidden Summoning Event and New Prestige Challenges

Endgame’s new Forbidden Summoning World Event runs as the only World Event for the update’s first week before joining the regular rotation, alongside a separate Avalon Night event. Completing the Forbidden Summoning event rewards the Heatsync launcher, a new Exotic weapon. Four new Prestige Title Challenges also arrive: Arsenal Incarnate (earn the final Mastery Camo in all four modes for every weapon), Private Eye (collect all Intel across Co-Op, Endgame, and Zombies), Over Achiever (earn all Mastery Badges), and John Black Ops (complete every other Prestige Master Title).

Zombies and Ranked Changes

Zombies players get the Primordial Being challenge, which requires completing each Main Quest with at least 18 Relics active. The Ballistic Knife joins the Mystery Box in Zombies Cursed, the Vril Sphere Relic now lets players in Rogue Run hold more than four Perk-a-Colas, and melee-opening the painting in Her House four times in Rex Infernus now rerolls the reward within the same tier. On the multiplayer side, Exposure returns to the Ranked map pool, and Ranked scoring has been retuned: losing or finishing 5th-8th now costs an extra 10-40 SR, while outscoring a much higher-ranked opponent can earn up to +40 SR bonus.

Weapon Balance Changes

The season’s biggest nerf lands on the Echo 12, whose clip size drops from 24 to 12, stock ammo from 96 to 48, and max ammo from 120 to 60, with its explosion radius and damage also reduced. On the buff side, the AK-27’s Battle-Scar Conversion Kit gets +11% critical damage and reduced recoil, and Vulture Aid now lets ammo drops partially refill your alternate weapon’s ammo too. Treyarch says no mid-season content drop is planned, with weapon tuning following a short time after launch instead.
