Diablo 4 Season 15 "Hell's Legacy" Arrives September 15 With Splinters of Evil and Nine Legacy Uniques

Blizzard is kicking off Diablo 4 Season 15, “Hell’s Legacy,” on September 15, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. PT (6:30 p.m. CEST), shipped alongside patch 3.2.1. The season doubles as a tribute to Diablo’s 30th anniversary, and it leans hard into the franchise’s history with a questline built around the original Prime Evils.
Splinters of Evil: A New Seasonal Power
Splinters of Evil is the new seasonal mechanic. Every character carries one of three Prime Evil Splinters — Diablo, Baal, or Mephisto — earned through the season’s opening questline. Each Splinter grants an Iconic Power that periodically triggers mid-fight: fire damage for Diablo, cold for Baal, and physical for Mephisto, while also raising the player’s vulnerability to that same damage type. Every Splinter has eight modifiers and six upgrades that unlock through War Plans as the season progresses.
Waking Nightmares and the New Capstone Dungeons
Waking Nightmares recreate iconic scenes from Diablo’s 30-year history across three difficulty tiers: sprawling multi-level dungeons that resemble Capstone dungeons, medium-length dungeons at fixed map locations, and small open-world encounters players can stumble into while leveling. From Torment 10 onward, the largest Waking Nightmares double as the season’s endgame Capstone dungeons.
Legacy Uniques, Soul Splinters, and Quality-of-Life Fixes
Season 15 also introduces Soul Splinters — eight demonic gems that socket into jewelry and carry both a blessing and a drawback, with up to three equippable at once — plus nine Legacy Uniques that join the permanent item pool, including Stone of Jordan, Leoric’s Crown, and Messerschmidt’s Reaver. On the quality-of-life side, War Plan reputation is now account-wide, Mythic crafting guarantees a deterministic one-to-one transfer, and two new Horadric Cube recipes let players reroll affixes. The Season Rank track has more than 125 objectives worth up to 14 skill points and 42 paragon points.
