Rainbow Six Siege’s third season of Year 11, Operation Split Fire, went live on September 1, 2026. Rather than chase a splashy new gadget archetype, Ubisoft used the season to polish operator balance, rework a classic map, and quietly reshape which picks dominate ranked.
New Operator Noor and the Villa Rework
The new defender, Noor, is built as the answer to shield-heavy attackers. Her Horus Lance Launcher fires a projectile that pierces shields and surfaces before igniting, directly countering Blitz, Montagne, and Blackbeard. Players have also found her gadget doubles as situational hard-breach denial, giving her value even in rounds without a shield operator in the lobby. Villa receives a targeted map update this season as well, adjusting sightlines and rotations that had grown stale in competitive play.
Balance Changes: SMG-12, Defensive DMRs, and a Dokkaebi Nerf
The headline balance changes include an SMG-12 damage rebalance that ripples out to Dokkaebi, Vigil, and Warden, a defensive DMR overhaul, and a nerf to Dokkaebi’s Logic Bomb — her Jager Payload upload can now be interrupted by Mute’s Signal Jammers and requires the tablet to stay active throughout the hack, trimming her solo-queue carry potential. Lion also got quietly stronger: a reduced EE-ONE-D scan warning window punishes reactive defenders on maps with long rotations.
Legends Division and Limited-Time Modes
Split Fire also debuts the Legends Division, a new top-end ranked tier, alongside Ranked 3.0 tweaks and two limited-time modes: a drone race event and a 3v3 arcade playlist. Ubisoft is framing the season as a health patch more than a content drop — “polishing what already exists” rather than piling on new systems.
