Arrowhead has confirmed that Helldivers 2 Update 7.1 is landing in September 2026 as the next stop on the studio’s final 2026 roadmap, following the Illuminate Void enemies and SEAF support mechanics introduced in Major Update 7.0. The exact patch day hasn’t been locked yet, but Arrowhead’s recent cadence points to a mid-to-late September release.
A New Warbond Is Coming
Update 7.1’s headline addition is a new Warbond. Arrowhead hasn’t detailed its theme yet, but the studio’s past Warbonds have consistently introduced a new gameplay style or weapon category alongside their cosmetic rewards, so Helldivers are speculating about anything from explosive ordinance to a new energy-weapon line.
Two Mystery Galactic War Rewards
Alongside the Warbond, Arrowhead has teased two mystery rewards tied to the Galactic War itself rather than standard Warbond progression. Community read is that they’ll require participation in specific fronts and stage completions, functioning more like campaign-earned support weapons or mission unlocks than pure cosmetics.
The Rest of the 2026 Roadmap
The rest of the roadmap runs through the year: October adds another Warbond plus new missions, a biome, and an enemy type tied to a fresh Galactic War event; November has no content currently announced; and December closes the year with the major Update 8.0, which community datamining suggests is Automaton-focused — possibly a return to Cyberstan following the Automatons’ \”Machinery of Oppression\” campaign earlier in 2026.
