Dragon’s Dogma 2 Title Update 3.2 Adds a Sixth Skill Slot and Rebuilds Pawn AI
Capcom released Title Update 3.2 for Dragon’s Dogma 2 on September 2, 2026, and it is easily the game’s biggest patch since launch. Beyond the usual balance tweaks, it changes how many skills you can carry into battle at once and rebuilds a good chunk of how hired Pawns behave in a fight.
Six Skill Slots Instead of Four
The headline change expands assignable weapon skills from four slots to six, giving every vocation far more room to build a loadout instead of constantly trading utility for damage. Nine vocations are directly affected: Fighter, Archer, Thief, Mage, Sorcerer, Warrior, Mystic Spearhand, Magick Archer, and Trickster. Mage and Sorcerer both gain a new core skill, Magick Barrier, giving spellcasters a real defensive option for the first time. Trickster picks up Buoyant Brume, which lets you float briefly after a second jump input. Warrior’s heavy attacks, Archer’s mobility options, and several Mystic Spearhand abilities have all been reworked or rebalanced on top of the extra slots.
Pawns Can Actually Help Now
Pawn AI got a serious upgrade: Pawns can now grapple enemies, interrupt attacks aimed at the Arisen, and protect players who can’t move, on top of performing follow-up attacks and using the environment more intelligently. Two new commands, Explore and High Five!, were added alongside the combat improvements. General survivability also got a pass — less flinching after consecutive hits, enemies are less likely to target downed players, getting hit while down now triggers an immediate get-up animation, stamina items take effect instantly when you’re exhausted, and the invincibility window after a Wakestone revival is longer.
A Cure for Dragonsplague (With a Catch)
Players can now cure Dragonsplague using the new Dragonsbaulk Draught. There’s a risk-reward wrinkle, though: an infected Pawn keeps useful combat perks — stunning large enemies via leg attacks and attacking smaller enemies without spending stamina — and loses the infection more slowly, meaning some players may choose to hold off curing it for a while to farm the benefits.
