Marvel Rivals Season 10.5 goes live October 9, 2026 at 3:00 AM PT, and for the first time since launch, a mid-season update isn’t bringing a new playable hero. NetEase is spending the split on its ongoing “Path to Doomsday” event line instead, with Infinity War and Endgame-themed content planned to run across the next two months. The game remains free to play on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

No new hero, but a bigger event push

Skipping a new hero is a first for Marvel Rivals, and it is a deliberate trade-off: rather than split focus, the team is funneling Season 10.5’s content into the next chapter of Path to Doomsday, which has been building toward Infinity War and Endgame-style set pieces since earlier seasons. Expect themed modes, cosmetics, and limited-time events tied to that storyline rather than a new kit to learn.

What else to expect

Patch notes for balance changes typically land alongside the season drop, and with no new hero to build around, expect the adjustments to focus on trimming down whichever duelists and vanguards have been dominating ranked since Season 10 launched. The mid-season split is still a reasonable time to jump in if you’ve been on the fence, especially with two more months of Doomsday content confirmed.
