Marvel Rivals’ Season 10.5 patch (version 20261009) went live on October 9, 2026, adding the Path to Doomsday: Avengers Infinity War 2v2 mode and the Infinity Finale event, alongside hero balance changes across all three roles. No new hero arrived this patch, but the shake-up to Vanguard, Duelist, and Strategist picks is enough to redraw the tier list. Here’s who’s dominating queues right now, role by role.

Vanguard Tier List

S-Tier: The Hood is still ranked the #1 hero overall and received no changes in the October 9 patch, keeping his zoning and self-sustain the default Vanguard pick. The Thing protects backliners from divers especially well now that pairing with Invisible Woman shortens his Unbreakable Forces cooldown to 15 seconds. Deadpool remains a flex pick who can slide into Vanguard, Duelist, or Strategist to patch a comp’s weak spot.

A-Tier: Emma Frost, Hulk, Doctor Strange, Thor, Captain America, and Devil Dinosaur round out a solid second tier — though Devil Dinosaur did take a small hit this patch, with his base health trimmed from 850 to 825.

Duelist Tier List

S-Tier: Winter Soldier is the top Duelist overall, trading well at mid-range and resetting fights once they turn in his favor. Gorr the God Butcher is still a major diver even after Shadow Scythe and Shockwave damage nerfs and a Living Abyss cooldown that rose to 12 seconds. Elsa Bloodstone holds angles and denies divers with Smoky Snare, The Punisher grinds down Vanguards with sustained fire in open lanes, Black Cat strikes from side angles with a fast escape, and Scarlet Witch still offers strong control through Chaos Marks and Dark Seal despite Chthonian Burst’s damage dropping from 40 to 35.

A-Tier: Phoenix climbs into the conversation after buffs to Cosmic Flames and Spark damage, even though detonations no longer self-heal her. Wolverine, Hela, Star-Lord, Namor, Black Widow, Magik, and Black Panther all remain viable picks a tier below.

Strategist Tier List

S-Tier: Gambit is the top healer this patch after Healing Hearts and Breaking Spades both dropped to a 7-second charge time from 8. Cloak & Dagger sustains the team as Dagger and disrupts or escapes as Cloak, Invisible Woman heals from safe angles and pairs especially well with The Thing, and Luna Snow provides consistent healing output plus Freeze utility against divers.

A-Tier: Jubilee gained self-healing on Sparking Sprint and a stronger Firework Finale this patch, while Loki, Rocket Raccoon, and Jeff the Land Shark remain solid secondary Strategist options.

What Else Changed in Season 10.5

Outside of balance changes, Season 10.5’s headline addition is Path to Doomsday – Avengers: Infinity War, a 2v2 mode running through December 11 where twelve players split into six duo squads and race to collect all six Infinity Stones. The Infinity Finale battle pass event runs alongside it through December 10, unlocking a free Thor: The Avengers costume through quests. The patch also adds the Alchemax Headquarters map to 18v18 Annihilation and shrinks the PC install size by roughly 30% thanks to optimized texture compression.
