Gears of War: E-Day, The Coalition’s prequel set on the original Emergence Day of the Gears of War timeline, launched on October 6, 2026 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC via Steam, and day-one on Xbox Game Pass.

The launch has been a strong one for a franchise historically tied to Xbox exclusivity. Per SteamDB, Gears of War: E-Day’s Steam concurrent-player count peaked at 20,374 on October 2, 2026, roughly double Gears 5’s all-time Steam high of 10,196. Worth noting for context: an earlier August 2026 multiplayer beta test actually drew an even higher Steam peak of 22,084, so the 20,374 figure is specifically the high-water mark under the finished game’s own Steam listing rather than an outright franchise record.

Even with that caveat, the numbers point to real crossover appeal: a historically console-first series pulling meaningful PC numbers alongside day-one support on Xbox Game Pass, the kind of multi-platform availability that matters most to players deciding where to buy in.

If you are gearing up for E-Day, Dragon4Deals carries Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (US) codes for day-one access, Steam Wallet Code (US) for the PC version, and a full range of Xbox Series X|S game codes.
