Marvel Rivals Season 10 balance patch went live on September 11, 2026, and it reshuffled the hero pool enough that a lot of Season 9 favorites have slipped down the rankings. The tiers below are built from tracked match win rates across all ranks, broken out by role, so treat them as a snapshot of what is winning right now rather than a fixed hierarchy.

S-Tier: The Best Heroes Right Now

Six heroes are sitting in S-tier this patch. Among Strategists, Mantis (56.0% win rate) and Ultron (54.4%) are the two healers actually worth prioritizing in queue. On Duelist, Magik (55.9%), Gorr the God Butcher (55.6%), and Storm (54.9%) all convert lane pressure into picks better than anything else in the class. Peni Parker (55.6%) is the lone Vanguard in S-tier, and her area-denial webs make her the easiest tank to build a whole comp around.

A-Tier and B-Tier: Reliable Picks

A-tier is where most competent players will actually spend their time. Rocket Raccoon (52.9%) is the backup Strategist pick when Mantis gets banned or countered. The Hood (52.6%) is still a strong secondary Vanguard despite this patch trimming his numbers. On Duelist, Hela (52.2%), Scarlet Witch (51.9%), Iron Fist (51.9%), Blade (51.8%), and Daredevil (51.7%) are all safe, flexible picks that do not require a coordinated team to function. Below that, B-tier is a wide, viable middle ground, and anything sitting under 45% win rate is a heavy lift right now.

What Changed in the September 11 Balance Patch

The September 11 patch buffed Peni Parker directly into S-tier by tightening her web fire interval from 0.3s to 0.25s and removing her self-slow entirely, letting her kite and reposition while still attacking. Wolverine, Doctor Strange, Rogue, and Captain America all got smaller but meaningful buffs: Savage Claw damage is up to 18 per hit, Doctor Strange dagger projectiles now travel at 80 m/s with a faster cast interval, Rogue shield capacity rose to 275 with doubled energy regen, and Captain America gained a flat 17% health increase. On the nerf side, Magneto lost 50 health and 50 shield value and had his Scarlet Witch team-up cooldown pushed from 12s to 18s, The Hood lost 50 health, and Mantis had her Life Orb charge time slowed from 3s to 4s. The patch also quietly nerfed every Strategist ultimate charge rate, dropping healing-to-ultimate conversion from 70% to 65% and damage conversion from 55% to 50%, which is part of why raw healing numbers feel less impactful than last season.

Team Comp Notes

For team comp, the strongest shape right now pairs Peni Parker holding an area with a dive Duelist like Magik or Gorr the God Butcher who can capitalize on the space she denies, backed by Mantis for sustain. If Mantis gets banned, Ultron and Rocket Raccoon are both strong enough to run as the primary healer without reshaping the rest of the comp. Keep in mind win rate reflects team outcomes as much as individual hero strength, so a hero climbing the list is partly a function of who else is being played alongside them this patch.

Where to Play and Top Up

Marvel Rivals is free-to-play on Steam, and most of the economy runs through Lattice and the Battle Pass rather than a boxed purchase. A Steam Wallet Code (Global) or a region-specific code from the Steam gift card selection covers in-game purchases without needing a card on file. Full patch notes are on the official Marvel Rivals Season 10 patch notes page.
