Marvel Rivals Season 10 Update Reworks Scarlet Witch, Nerfs Every Strategist
Gorr the God Butcher Arrives With a Full Scarlet Witch Rework
NetEase Games’ Marvel Rivals received its September 11, 2026 update (version 20260911) this week, the patch tied to Season 10 and its new playable villain, Gorr the God Butcher. The headline balance change isn’t a new hero, though — it’s a ground-up rework of Scarlet Witch, who now wields a redesigned kit built around a new Scarlet Hex ability and a Chaos Mark passive that converts 25% of damage dealt to marked enemies into bonus health for her, on top of a new multi-target primary fire.
Vanguards Shift, Strategists Get Reined In
Every Strategist in the game takes a hit to Ultimate Energy generation this patch: healing-based conversion drops from 70% to 65%, and damage-based conversion falls from 55% to 50%, a blanket nerf clearly aimed at slowing down how fast teams can chain game-changing ultimates.
On the Vanguard side, Captain America and Thor both gain 25-50 bonus health and Emma Frost picks up range and dash improvements, while Magneto loses 50 health (down to 600 total) and both The Hood and The Thing lose some of their defensive tools.
Among Duelists, Black Cat’s Phantom Pursuit no longer grants full invincibility, trading it for 50% damage reduction instead, while Wolverine’s Savage Claw hits significantly harder and several ranged Duelists get faster, harder-hitting projectiles. Jeff the Land Shark and Loki both come out of the patch healing for more, and Cloak & Dagger’s Vulnerable debuff is weaker than it was.
