Marvel Rivals Tier List for Season 10.5

Marvel Rivals’ Version 20261009 patch brought the Season 10.5 mid-season balance pass, and the hero rankings have shifted as a result. The breakdown below reflects Diamond-and-above play, drawing on community data tracked after the patch, and groups all 54 heroes into S, A, B, and C tiers by role: Vanguard, Duelist, and Strategist.

S-Tier: The Best Heroes Right Now

Vanguard: The Hood, The Thing.
Flex: Deadpool (can slot into any role).
Duelist: Winter Soldier, Gorr the God Butcher, Elsa Bloodstone, The Punisher, Black Cat, Scarlet Witch.
Strategist: Gambit, Cloak & Dagger, Invisible Woman, Luna Snow.

The Hood sits at No. 1 overall and received no changes this patch — he’s still the strongest frontline pressure in the game, using ranged attacks to build resources before committing with his transformation. The Thing climbs to No. 2, and pairing him with Invisible Woman drops his Unbreakable Forces cooldown to just 15 seconds. Winter Soldier remains the top Duelist thanks to strong mid-range picks and ability resets once a fight tips his way, while Gambit tops the Strategists after his Healing Hearts and Breaking Spades now charge in 7 seconds instead of 8, giving him more healing, cleansing, and anti-heal per match.

A-Tier: Strong, Reliable Picks

Vanguard: Emma Frost, Hulk, Doctor Strange, Thor, Captain America, Devil Dinosaur.
Duelist: Phoenix, Wolverine, Hela, Star-Lord, Namor, Black Widow, Magik, Black Panther.
Strategist: Loki, Rocket Raccoon, Jubilee, Jeff the Land Shark.

Gorr fell from No. 1 to No. 5 this patch after losing his Shadow Scythe and Shockwave, and his Twilight of the Gods ultimate now lasts 10 seconds instead of 12 — he’s still a top diver, just no longer untouchable.

B-Tier and C-Tier: Still Playable, But Outclassed

B-Tier Vanguard: Peni Parker, Groot, Magneto, Venom, Angela.
B-Tier Duelist: Spider-Man, Psylocke, Cyclops, Daredevil, Iron Fist, Blade, Human Torch, Moon Knight, Iron Man.
B-Tier Strategist: Mantis, Adam Warlock, Ultron.
C-Tier: Hawkeye, Rogue, Mister Fantastic, Storm, Squirrel Girl, White Fox.

None of these heroes are unplayable — they just ask for more coordination or a specific matchup to shine compared to the S- and A-tier picks above.

Notable Movers This Patch

Phoenix climbed from No. 26 to No. 14, Jubilee jumped from No. 45 to No. 30, and Iron Man and Cyclops both nudged up a few spots. On the way down, Scarlet Witch slid from No. 6 to No. 13 and Devil Dinosaur dropped from No. 17 to No. 22, though both remain solidly in the upper half of the roster.

Gearing Up for Night of Illusions

The timing lines up nicely with Marvel Rivals’ Night of Illusions event, running October 29 to December 31, 2026, which centers on Elsa Bloodstone exploring five puzzle rooms for limited-time cosmetic rewards. With Elsa sitting in S-tier this patch, it’s a good excuse to main her through the event while farming Gallery Cards and Units.

Loading up on Units or cosmetics for the event? Grab a Steam Wallet Code (US), a PSN Gift Card (US), or an Xbox Live Gift Card (US) at Dragon4Deals — Marvel Rivals supports cross-play across all three.
